London 2004 Far busier than many recent past fairs at the Kensington Olympia, the 2004 London International Book Fair brought together a record number of book industry buyers. Many of these buyers appeared to be participating in their first international book sales event and included a large number of publishers, editors, and distributors who we had not seen previously at the Frankfurt Fair, the industry's benchmark venue. We came away from London with contract offers in the areas of biography; children's picture books; current affairs; Eastern philosophy; environmental science/chemistry; healing; health; Mind/Body/Spirit; New Age; non-fiction; photography/travel; literature, including poetry; and spirituality. We're quite pleased with this year's London Fair and expect the 2005 London International Book Fair in October to be even better.  |   |
